Die autochthone weiße Rebsorte stammt aus Griechenland. Synonyme sind Opsimo Prosotzani, Opsimo de Prossotsani, Opsimo of Prosotsanis und Opsimo Prosotsanes. Sie wird als Kelter- und Tafeltraube genutzt.
