The same after the birthplace Napoleon Bonaparte (1769-1821) named appellation lies on the west coast of the French island of Corsica . The vineyards cover 200 hectares of vineyards granithaltigem ground within a few tens of kilometers around the capital of the department of Corse-du-Sud. Mainly produced red wines (60%) and roses are blended from at least 60% Barbarossa Nielluccio, Vermentino and Sciacarello (the latter at least 40%), and a maximum of 40% Grenache Noir, Cinsault and Carignan (the latter up to 15%). The white wine is made exclusively from Ugni Blanc variety. Known producers are Domaine Comte Abbatucci, Clos d'Alzeto, Clos Ornasca, Domaine Comte Peraldi, Domaine de Pietrella.
