The most important grape varieties
The appeal lies in the heart of Wine Country and South West France , just east of the area Buzet . The area was classified voremalige VDQS 2010 as AOP. Until the phylloxera disaster for the area Haut-Pays counting Brulhois wines blended with those of Bordeaux. After that, a stocking was done with today's varieties. The vineyards cover 220 hectares on both banks of the Garonne and its tributary near the town of Moissac Layrac. Rosé and red wines are blended from Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Fer, Merlot, Malbec and Tannat. Chateau Bastide-known producers, Chateau Grand Chene, CV de-en-Goulens Brulhois and Clos are Pountet.
