The community is located north of the French appellation area Touraine (Loire). The vineyards with almost 100 hectares of vineyards are located on the right bank of the Loir. The red wine is made of the varieties Pineau d'Aunis (at least 30%), Gamay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon blended. The rosé is made of Pineau d'Aunis, Cabernet Franc, Gamay, Malbec, and to 25% Grolleau. The white wine is made from Chenin Blanc. Well-known producers are Chaussard, Fresneau, Gigou, and Robinot Rycke. In the north of the area is an enclave in the appellation Jasnières .
