The most important grape varieties
The appeal lies to the west of Wine Country Southwest France between the appellation of Cahors and Gaillac . The former VDQS area was classified in 2010 as an AOP. The vineyards are located in over 30 communities ertstrecken the two departments of Lot and Tarn-et-Garonne. Red and rose wines made from Cabernet Franc (40 to 60%), and each variety at most 20% Tannat, Côt (Malbec), Gamay Noir and Merlot.
