The most important grape varieties
The appeal lies in the French region of Roussillon and includes 100 municipalities. It applies to sweet, fortified vin doux naturel , but is used only on a small scale and mainly for substandard Rivesaltes used. So it is rather inferior to VDN's. The wine is blended from Muscat Blanc, Muscat of Alexandria, Grenache Noir, Grenache Blanc, Grenache Gris, Macabeo, and a maximum of 10% Tourbat Carignan, Cinsault, Syrah and Listan. There is also a version of Grand Roussillon Rancio (see Rancio ).
