The small appellation located in central France in the wine growing region Loire appellation in the vicinity of Quincy . The vineyards cover 160 hectares of vineyards on very calcareous soil in seven communities of the two departments of Indre and Cher. For the most part white wine from Sauvignon Blanc grapes. The red wine produced from Pinot Noir (and also the addition of Pinot Gris would be allowed, but this is rarely used), the Rosé of Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris. Well-known producers are Domaine Henri Beurdin, Pascal Desroches, Claude Lafond, Jean-Michel and Jacques Vincent Sorbe.
