The appeal of the area north belongs to the French wine-growing region of the Loire . The former VDQS area in central France was classified in 2009 as an AOP. In the Middle Ages enjoyed the white wine of the highest reputation, and here was one of the favorite wines of the French royal court and the Popes in Avignon. The vineyards cover 550 hectares of vineyards in 19 villages in the valleys of the Loire-Allier river side, and its tributaries and Bouble Sioule, a length of 35 kilometers. The red wine is blended from Gamay (zum. 40%), Pinot Noir (zum. 25%) and Gamay Teinturier. The rosé is vinified from Gamay varietal purity. The white wine is Chardonnay (zum. 50%), Tressalier (zum. 40%) and Sauvignon Blanc blended.
