Mandelpfad
Single location in the village Dirmstein (range Mittelhaardt-German Wine Route) in the German wine-growing area Palatine . It was first mentioned already in 1557 as "the almond path." There were earlier used economic almond trees, some of which still dominate the landscape. The aligned south to southeast at 120 meters altitude vineyards with 10 to 15% slope comprise 160 hectares of vineyards. The deep soils consist of limestone interspersed with Lössauflage with fine soil, the subsoil is dominated by limestone. In the middle section there are favored plots, which include "sky computing". For example, the shares have wineries Jesuitenhof , Clippers , Philip Kuhn and Mario tent . There are two other named almond path in single layers of the Palatinate communities Obrigheim and Rohrbach.
