DOC area for white wine in the deep south of the Italian region of Tuscany in the countryside Maremma . The zone includes the eponymous Argentario peninsula on the Ligurian coast and a large area to the east into the interior. It overlaps with the DOC Bianco di Pitigliano . The dry wine is made from the variety Ansonica = Inzolia (at least 85%) and other white varieties (up to 15%).
