Antonelli San Marco
The winery "Azienda Agricola Antonelli San Marco" is in the town of Montefalco in the center of the same name DOC range in the Italian region Umbria . It was founded in 1881 by Francesco Antonelli. The property extends to 430 meters above sea level on two hills, which once formed the estate "San Marco de Corti celli." It is led by Dr. Filippo Antonelli. The south and west-facing vineyards cover 40 hectares of vineyards on deep, very calcareous clay soils. Red wine grapes are grown, the Sagrantino, Sangiovese, Montepulciano, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, and the white wine and Trebbiano Bianco Grechetto Spoletino. Since the year 2011 is a certified organic farming. The product range includes the DOC wines of Montefalco and Colli Martani And the DOCG wine Montefalco Sagrantino . Every year around 300,000 bottles of wine are produced. There are also grappa (grape brandy) and produces olive oil. The winery is a member of the association for biological IMC (Istituto Mediterraneo di Certificazione).
