The winery "Bessererhof - Otmar Mair" lies in the community Fiè (FIE allo Sciliar) in the far south of the Italian wine sector Eisacktal South Tyrol (Area Trentino-Alto Adige ). The company was founded in 1998 by Otmar and Rosmarie Mair. The vineyards cover 3.5 hectares of vineyards that are planted with white varieties Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Gewurztraminer and Goldmuskateller, as well as with the red varieties Vernatsch and Zweigelt. It is practiced consistently near-natural, environmentally friendly viticulture. The wines are made depending on the type of wine in steel tanks or wooden barrels. They are in DOC South Tyrol , The red wine "Zweigelt Roan" as IGT (wine country) produces. Every year around 30,000 bottles of wine are produced. The winery is a member of the vintners Free South Eisacktal and wine.
