The "John Bioweingut Zillinger" located in the municipality Velm-Götzendorf the southeast of the Lower Austrian wine region wine district . The traditional company was founded in 1673 by David Zillinger and is still family owned. After many attempts in the vineyards and years of research by Johann Zillinger in 1985, the winery restructured and converted to organic-biological farming. For this pioneering work, he became the country Lower Austria won the Environment Award. In the years 2003, 2004 and 2005, the company was awarded the world's leading trade fair for organic products "BioFach" in Nuremberg as the world's best Bioweingut. It is headed by John Zillinger.

The vineyard area totals 20 hectares of vines in the vineyards Haidthal, Kellerberg, Lissen and Sun Mountain. They are 60% with the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner, Pinot Blanc, Riesling, Riesling, Chardonnay, Traminer, Sauvignon Blanc and Muscat, as well as 40% with the red varieties Zweigelt, St. Laurent, Blue Burger and Cabernet Sauvignon planted. Some fungus-resistant varieties are in cultivation trial. The white wines are fermented and vinified with different temperature-controlled long Hefelegerung mostly in stainless steel to obtain fruit and varietal character. Only the ripest grapes of Grüner Veltliner, Pinot Blanc and Chardonnay are matured in large barrels of acacia, oak and ash. All red wines are aged at least six months in large oak casks. Part of the best red wines are matured in barriques of French and American oak, which also varietal character and terroir should be at the forefront. The premium wines include, for example Weinviertel DAC , Haidthal Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc Lissen, Muscat Sonnberg and Zweigelt Classic. In terms of weather-appropriate age and ice wines are vinified.
