Blauer Arbst

The red variety is a mutation of Pinot Noir (Pinot Noir). The variety is Pinot Noir to the less productive, have lower yields and grapes musts with more sugar and extract. Synonyms Arbst, Blue Affenthaler, Alsatian Rother, small red, Petit Noir, Pignola, Pineau, Franc, Rother and Black Traminer. It was once common in the German region of Baden far, but is now only found in small populations. In spite of the synonym it is independent of the red variety Affenthaler not directly related.
