Boutari
One of the largest Greek wine trading houses based in Thessaloniki in the region Macedonia . The company was founded in 1879 by Ioannis Boutaris and is now managed by the fourth generation of the family already Boutaris of Constantine and his daughter Marina. Today it consists of six wineries in Greece and another in France. In almost all the Greek wine regions, there is a property of vineyards. The extensive product range includes 40 labels of local wines and quality wines, including of course the Greek specialty Retsina . The most important indigenous varieties Assyrtiko, Agiorgitiko, Moschophilero, Roditis, Xynomavro, the main European standard varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Sylvaner. Among them are OPAP and OPE wines from the best Greek wine regions such as Goumenissa , Crete , Mantinia , Naoussa , Nemea , Paros and Santorini Where there are also branches and each winery. An ultra-modern winery called "Domaine Fantaxometocho" (Eng. "monastic spirit") was taken in 2004 on the occasion of the 125th anniversary at the church in Iraklion Skalani in operation. The branded wine "Cava Boutari" is blended from Xynomavro and Agiorgitiko, extended for one year in oak barrels and matured for another in the bottle. A top product is the "Grande Reserve Naoussa Boutari" from special Xynomavro grapes, aged for two years in oak barrels and two years in the bottle.
