After several ownership changes in the last century, the winery is located in the area Rheinhessen (formerly Villa Saxony in Bingen ) passed in 2006 in the exclusive possession of the family of Prince zu Salm-Salm. Since the harvest of the crop year 2007, Felix Prinz zu Salm-Salm, the management has now taken over as the designated RHINE COUNT operation with the aim of giving new impetus to the winery. That was the start of the RHINE COUNT wines bearing the initials of the boy prince. The orange label is intended to reflect the new start in the vineyard and in the sales structure. The vineyards cover 16 hectares of vineyards in the individual layers Binger Kirchberg and (most of which were found in possession) Scharlachberg (single location, Germany) . At around 70% Riesling is cultivated, the rest of varieties are Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir and Silvaner. The winery is VDP .
