The white variety is a new variety (including VB 91-26-1) from Cabernet Sauvignon x unknown fungus-resistant partner. The crossing was made in 1991 by the estate owner Valentin Blattner in Soyhières the Swiss Jura, then the selection of Nursery Freytag in Neustadt / Speyer laugh-village in the Pfalz (Germany). The hardy vine has good resistance against Botrytis and both mildew . It provides fragrant white wines with Sauvignon Blanc or Riesling aroma. This variety is grown in small quantities in Switzerland and Germany. In Austria, there are small stocks, here it is authorized for wines without a geographical indication.
