Cabernet Dorsa
The red variety (We 71-817-92) is between a new variety Dornfelder x Cabernet Sauvignon. The crossing took place in 1971 at the National Training and Research Institute for Viticulture and Horticulture in Vineyard (Württemberg). The approval and Plant Variety Protection were granted in 2003. The medium to late maturing and hardy species documented in Germany in 2009 234 hectares of vineyards. It provides color-rich, tannic red wines with a distinct cherry and pepper flavors. These are also suitable for a very good barrel expansion. For the same parent was the variety Cabernet Dorio .
