Single location in the village Iphofen (range Steigerwald) in the German wine-growing area Franconia . The name has nothing to do with cattle, but is a corruption of "bald mountain". Aligned to the west-north-west to west, south and vineyards with 10 to 65% slope comprise 60 hectares of vineyards on Keuper soils with a mixture of limestone, gypsum, clay and sediments from mussel and arrow types of cancer.
