The most important grape varieties
DOC for red, rosé and white wine in the Italian region of Campania . The area includes the municipalities of Bacoli, Marano, Monte di Procida, Naples, Pozzuoli and Quarto in the province of Naples. The Bianco is blended from Falanghina (50-70%), Biancolella and / or Coda di Volpe (10-30%), and any other permitted white varieties (up to 30%). Rosso (also called Novello) and Rosato are produced from Piedirosso (50-70%), Aglianico and / or Sciascinoso (10-30%), and any other permitted red varieties (30%). The genuine types Piedirosso or Pér 's Palummo (with two years of aging, as reserve ), Piedirosso raisin or Pér 's Palummo Passito (secco and Dolce) and Falanghina (also known as sparkling wine) must contain at least 90% of each variety, the rest approved varieties may be the same color.
