The most important grape varieties
DOC for white wine in the northern Italian region of Tuscany . The area includes the municipalities of Carrara, Massa and Massa in the province of Massa-Carrara. The wine (also known as sparkling) is from Vermentino (70-80%), Albarola (10-20%), and any mixture of Malvasia Bianca Lunga and / or Trebbiano Toscano (up to 20%, of which up to 5% Malvasia) and blended aged in Secco, Amabile and Abboccato. The Vin Santo is produced in the same mixture of dried grapes in Secco and Amabile.
