In the metric system are all based measures of capacity valid worldwide (Table 1), see also under Mass . Furthermore, even very old dry measures in use (Table 2). The Anglo-American systems of measurement are almost exclusively in the USA and in use in England (Table 3). The ancient Roman capacity measures are Congius included. It should be noted that in the old units, the details of the volumes in the different sources are often different and the differences are considerable in some cases.
