The most important grape varieties
DOC for red and rosé wines in the southwest corner of the Italian Region (Island) Sardinia . The area includes the municipalities of Calasetta, Carbonia, Carlo Forte, Giba, Masainas, Narcao, Nuxis, Perdaxius, Piscinas, Portoscuso, San Giovanni Suergiu, Santadi, Sant'Anna Arresi, Sant'Antioco, Teulada, Tratalias and Villaperuccio in the province of Cagliari. The dry-developed Rosso and Rosato are pressed from Carignano = Carignan (85-100%), and any other permitted red varieties. From Rosso, there are also versions as Novello , reserve , Superiore and sweet raisin .
