The estate is located in the town of St. Justina in the heart of St. Magdalene, near Bolzano in Italy The estate is located in the town of St. Justina in the heart of St. Magdalene, near Bolzano in the Italian wine sector South Tyrol (Area Trentino-Alto Adige ). The tradition dates from the 12th Ansitz Century and was owned by a monastery. He was acquired by the grandfather of current owner Christian Plattner. In our own small wine museum you can see old equipment. The vineyards cover six hectares, the Lagrein to 85% with the red varieties, Cabernet Sauvignon and Moscato Rosa, as well as to 15% with white grape variety Sauvignon Blanc is planted. The product range includes wines from the DOC area South Tyrol with the sub-area Santa Maddalena . The wines are made depending on the type of wine in steel tanks, in large wooden barrels and / or in oak barrels. 55,000 bottles of wine are sold annually. It is an export to Germany, Switzerland, Holland, Japan and USA. The winery is a member of the association "free vintners South" and "Wine team."

Ripe, partly dried and preserved red berries and a hint of plums on the nose, spicy almonds and a tough of tobacco. Quite firm on the palate, ripe red fruit and some cassis, nutty notes and tobacco, light hint of oak, fine tannins, good persistence, full-bodied, good finish.

Cool, fairly firm nose, red berries, herbaceous traces. Very clear, slightly jammy red fruit on the palate, sweetish roasted notes, touch of vanilla, fine sandy tannins, mineral traces, good persistence, attractive to good finish.

Preserved black berries and plums on the nose, sugar candy and dark caramel, slightly milky, nutty notes, smoky and roasted notes, spicy oak. Full-bodied and juicy on the palate, again rather dominated by oak, chocolate and caramel, fairly prominent mature tannins, persistent, noticeable alcohol, also has a light acid bite, chocolate and oak on a juicy, good to very good finish. Plenty of milk chocolate here, and really still has too much oak, but the fruit is making considerable headway against the tannins.

Clear, elegant, juicy, fairly firm fruit on the palate, prominent spicy vegetal notes, very elegant, lively acidity, full-bodied, slightly noticeable alcohol, but also polished and lively, elegant tart spice, mineral notes, good to very good finish.
