The estate is located in the municipality in the German region Laumersheim Palatine . It was founded in 1874 by the family coming from South Tyrol clippers. Besides wine and fruit farming was also operated and sold the wine in the barrel. One of the first wineries in the region began in 1948 with the wine bottle-filling and direct marketing. Beginning of the 1970s was converted completely to winegrowing. Volker and Werner Clippers began in the mid-1980s with Barrique and are now trying to ensure as complete specialists. Since 2005, Werner's son, Stephan clipper is co-owner. All wines are from the 2003 vintage in the new ultra-modern winery building built on the outskirts of Laumersheim. There are the red varieties Pinot Noir, St. Laurent, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Dornfelder, Syrah, Lemberger and Blue Arbst And the white varieties Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Yellow Orleans Cultured Auxerrois, Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Gris, Sylvaner and Gewurztraminer. The wines are vinified dry to 95%, in appropriate age but also pressed Trockenbeerenauslese. The wines produced from the first principles wines are as large greenhouse markets. Of the red wines include "Cuvée X" in the Bordeaux style (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, 18 to 20 months in mostly new oak barrels), "Cuvée XR" (selection of the best barrels of the Cuvée X, but in most years) and Pinot Noir "castle path" is worth mentioning.
