Named after the town of Duras appellation is located east of Bordeaux in the wine growing region of Southwest France and includes the west of Bergerac on. The vineyards cover 2,000 hectares. Red and rose wines are blended in the Bordeaux style of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Malbec. The developed dry to sweet white wine is made of Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon and Muscadelle, with shares of Chenin Blanc, Ondenc, Mauzac and Ugni Blanc. Well-known producers are Chateau la Grave Béchade, Duc de Berticot, Domaine Amblard, Domaine de Durand, Domaine de Laulan, Domaine du Petit Malromé, Château les Savignattes and Domaine de la Solle.
