The appeal lies to the east of Wine Country and Provence and, together with about four-fifths of them by far the largest area. In the West, including the great appellation Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence on. The vineyards cover 19,000 hectares in the three departments of Alpes-Maritimes, Bouches-du-Rhone and Var .
