The appeal lies in the wine growing region Languedoc . It was created in 1989 and applies to sparkling wines by the Champagne method. It is produced from Mauzac and at least 30% Chardonnay and Chenin Blanc, both of which are each more than 20% share limit. Well-known producers are Domaine de l'Aigle, Robert and Chateau de Villelongue. A second AC for sparkling wine Blanquette de Limoux .
