Landskrone
Single location in the village Heimersheim in the German wine-growing region Ahr . The volcano, on whose slope is the situation, was used during the Middle Ages because of its strategic location as a mountain fortress. The name was apparently coined in 1206 by the German king Philip of Swabia (1177-1208), the mountain labeled "This is the country's crown." Below includes the single vineyard Castle Garden (single location, Germany), which gained its name from the royal castle. The aligned southeast to southwest Landskrone vineyards in 80 to 170 meters above sea level with 15 to 60% gradient comprises 15 hectares of vineyards. The soils consist mainly of greywacke and Grauwackeschiefer-weathered soils with some loam and loess. Here mainly Pinot Noir and Portuguese are grown. For example, the shares have wineries Adeneuer , Deutzerhof , Näkel Meyer and Thomas Nelles .
