DIVINO Nordheim
The wine cooperative is located in the town of Nordheim (Main Triangle area) in the German wine-growing area of Franconia . From 1997 a new philosophy implemented and converted its production completely after numerous attempts. Since then, it is consistently on quality instead of quantity. Requirement was a change of work in the vineyard. Care is taken to scrupulously comply with the guidelines of the production. Proper pruning of the vines provide for less, but higher quality earnings. The wineries have since been rewarded for not only the must weight, but it is an evaluation sheet, in which the precise observance of labor standards will be assessed for the payment of the vintners also wearing. In 2003, a newly built house was purchased, which houses the wine bar "Divino Nordheim." The vineyards of the 224 members comprise a total of around 270 hectares of vineyards. You must be 85% with the white varieties Müller-Thurgau (41%), Silvaner, Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Rieslaner, Bacchus, Scheurebe, Kerner, Fontanara and Traminer, and to 15% with the red varieties Pinot Noir, Early Burgundy, Domination, Pinot Meunier , planted Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. In 2009, 2.8 million bottles of wine were produced. These are almost exclusively quality wines with a high percentage of the levels Kabinett and Spätlese. The wines are in the three main lines DIVINO (red and white Burgundies, some barrel-use), Juventa (tangy and fruity) and Franconia (from traditional varieties) markets. In addition, even flaschenvergorene sect, sparkling wines, brandies (yeast, wine, grapes) and liqueurs produced.
