The most important grape varieties
DOC area for white wine in the Italian region Lazio . The zone is located in the western part of the area Castelli Romani . It covers approximately 1,500 hectares in the municipalities of Albano, Ardea, Arricia, Castel Gandolfo, Lanuvio and Pomezia. Through the area runs the famous Via Appia Antica. The wine is in any combination of Trebbiano, Trebbiano Romagnolo, Trebbiano di Soave and Trebbiano Giallo (25-50%), Malvasia del Lazio (5-45%), Malvasia Bianca di Candia (0-60%), and any other permitted white varieties (10%) blended. He is aged in Secco, Abboccato, Amabile and Dolce and produced as Novello and Spumante.
