The most important grape varieties

DOC for red and white wines in the Italian region of Trade Marks . The zone covers the entire province of Macerata and Loreto municipality in the province of Ancona. The Bianco (also known as sparkling wine and raisin) is from Ribona Maceratino = (70-100%), in any use Incrocio Bruni 54, pecorino, Trebbiano Toscano, Verdicchio, Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Malvasia Bianca Lunga (Malvasia Toscana) and Grechetto (up 30%), and any other permitted white varieties (up to 15% blended). The Rosso (also known as Novello and Reserve) is made from Sangiovese (50-100%), in any use of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Ciliegiolo, Lacrima, Merlot, Montepulciano and Vernaccia Nera (50%), and other permitted red varieties ( to 15%) produced. The white Ribona (also known as sparkling wine and raisin) is generated from Maceratino (85-100%) and possibly other permitted white varieties (up to 15%).
