DOC for red, rosé and white wines in the Italian region Lazio . The zone includes extensive areas of 25 municipalities in the border area of the two provinces of Rieti and Rome. The Bianco is made from Trebbiano Toscano and / or Trebbiano Giallo (40-60%), Malvasia del Lazio and / or Malvasia di Candia (40-60%), and any other permitted white varieties (up to 20%) blended. Rosso (also called Novello) and Rosé is produced from Sangiovese (40-70%), Montepulciano (15-40%), and any other permitted red varieties (30%). The wines are aged in Secco, Amabile and Dolce and also produces a sparkling wine and sparkling wine.
