Dakapo

The red variety is a new breed between Deckrot x Blue Portuguese, and is purely external to differ much from the father places. The crossing took place in 1972 at the Research Institute Geisenheim (Rheingau) by Dr. Helmut Helmut Becker (1927-1990). The vine is well resistant to fungus and frost. The wine is dark and deep as Teinturier (top wines) are very well what is the name refers to (ital dacapo = addition). In 2009 the vine in Germany 58 hectares of vineyards.
