Dautel

The estate is located in the municipality in the German region Bönnigheim Wuerttemberg . It was taken over by Ernst Dautel in 1978 by his parents, who had previously delivered their grapes to the local cooperative. He himself began to produce wine, and expanded the operation of two acres to its present size. The vineyards cover 10.5 hectares of vineyards on the eastern slopes of the mountain stream. They are some parcels in the individual layers Sonnenberg distributed (Bönnigheim) and Wurmberg (Besigheim). 60% of the red varieties Lemberger, Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir and Samtrot, and to 40%, the white varieties Riesling, Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc are grown. It is practiced consistently near-natural wine with natural vegetation and integrated use of beneficial insects for pest control. The wines are produced in four different qualities. A label with no means a simple Gutswein star, two star and three star superior quality a top wine. Four stars are matured in oak products. The winery is a member of the VDP (Association of German VDP), as well as in German oak forum .
