Diefenhardt’sches Weingut
The estate is located in the town of Martin in the German valley growing region Rheingau . It looks back on a centuries-old history and tradition. The vineyard is maintaining and improving soil fertility with the goal of ecological equilibrium between soil and vine in the first place. Quality criteria are optimization of leaf fruit ratio, organic fertilizer, low income, thinning of the grapes, timely defoliation, leaf removal, negative selection and selective hand-picking. In the basement are the whole bunch pressing, primary treatment, controlled fermentation, yeast storage and long-varietal wine and pure extension position. The Pinot Noir red wines are matured exclusively in oak barrels. The quality pyramid comprises the three VDP classification . The winery is a longstanding member of the VDP .
