Dio Fili Estate The estate is located in the municipality Siatista (Kozani Prefecture) to the west of the Greek region Macedonia . It was founded in 2006 by Yiannis Boutaris (founder of the winery Kir Yianni geründet) and the couple Yiannis Polizos Goutziamani and Georgia. Yiannis Boutaris was elected in the fall of 2010 the mayor of Thessaloniki, Yiannis and Georgia therefore now run the business alone. The name "Dio Fili in Greek means" The Two Friends. " The first bottling was in 2007. At 950 meters above sea level located in the vineyards White Assyrtiko wines, Gewurztraminer and Muscat Blanc, and the red varieties Xynomavro, Moschomavro (à Petits Grains Muscat Noir), are Cabernet Sauvignon, grown Merlot, Syrah and Pinot Noir. The house specialty dessert wines, which are partly stored for up to ten years in old oak barrels. These are, for example, a Liastos and "To Kellari Tapnou tou" which is intersected by the principle of Solera wines several years.

Preserved overripe berries and dried pomaceous fruit on the nose, dried medicinal herbs, earthy notes and a hint of caramel, mineral notes, delicately spicy oak. Polished, partly caramelised berry and pomaceous fruit on the palate, hint of citrus, medicinal herbs and some cedary notes, polsihed, slightly lemony acidity, elegantly sweet, but also has some tart earthy notes on a good finish.

Medium-intense, clear and persistent nose, caramelised Mediterranean fruit, zests, spices, some rosewood and medicinal herbs. Straightforward and clear on the palate, brown caramel, herbs and spices, candied zests and some lychee, dried figs and yellow fruit on syrup, tart and bitter notes typical of the variety, integrated acidity, has character and substance, mineral notes on a very good long finish.

Red berries and a hint of candied cherries on the nose, light spice and undergrowth, mushroomy traces. Spicy notes again o nthe palate, cloves, pimento and some cinnamon, partly preserved and partly candied red berries, herbaceous notes and undergrowth, mineral notes, integrated tannins, still fairly youthful, has substance and shows its origins, has varietal character, slightly rough and bitter on an otherwise good to very good finish.
