Designation for the location of a slope with respect to the direction of the midday sun (direction of incidence of solar radiation). It is based on the direction given in degrees north (often only with such as "exposed south" or similar):
* 0 ° = North Slope - no sun, often referred to as "shadow side"
* 90 ° = east slope - a lot of morning sun
* 180 ° = south slope - often referred to as "sun side"
* 270 ° = west side - lots of sun, great in Central Europe Weather exposed
The wine is considered the best slope exposure in dry, heat-favored areas, a south-eastern slope up, sufficient in climatic boundary layers with heat deficits but Precipitation are south to southwest exposures optimally. It is advantageous to Slope . A good exposure with sufficient sun exposure time is a crucial factor in Photosynthesis . The sunlight and the temperatures are so important criteria related to the so-called Weinbauwürdigkeit .
