Fonseca-Guimarãens
A Port Wine Company Fonseca, Monteiro & Co was in the 18th Century, Vila Nova de Gaia, founded by Englishmen. It was then purchased in 1822 by Portuguese Manuel Pedro Guimaraens. Since 1991, the company is now already the fifth generation of David Guimaraens out. For a long time the company was called Guimaraens Vinhos, in 1988 it was renamed to its present name. The property also includes the three Quintas Cruzeiro, Santo António Panascal and a total of 130 hectares, where Port and other wines. Among the top products on offer include the Vintage Port, Ruby Reserve Bin 27 and the ecologically produced Terra Prima. Fonseca Guimaraens was indeed in 1948 by the Multi Taylor's taken over both houses, however, regarding products and styles on their own.
