The Greek wine was from Leon Karatsolas agronomist and in the Greece famous winemaker Yiannis Paraskevopoulos founded. The name (mother "earth") was awarded after the Greek goddess of fertility and the mother of all gods generations. The philosophy is to rely exclusively on Greek varieties and to use its full potential. Before they built their own winery, was analyzed, and regions which have the most potential of indigenous grape varieties. They settled on the island Santorini (Assyrthiko) and Nemea (Agiorgitiko) on the Peloponnese . In 1994 was produced on the same OPAP Santorini white wine under the label Thalassitis in collaboration with a winery.
In sub-area Koutsi Nemea was then in 1997 established his own winery and started on seven hectares of vineyards, producing wine there, too. Meanwhile, contract growers of grapes are purchased. There is the same OPAP red wine (from Agiorgitiko) produced under the label of Gaia Estate. Under the label Notios red and white table wines are produced. A very bright rosé table wine is named 14-18h pressed from Agiorgitiko, the name is derived from the short maceration. Furthermore, a Retsina marketed under the name Ritinitis Nobilis. Each year approximately 30,000 cases of wine (360,000 bottles) are produced.

More old oak and cedary notes on the palate, polished fruit, dried red berries, fruit syrup, toasted nuts, hint of coconut and some herbaceous notes, integrated acidity, fairly lively and creamy, integrated alcohol, clean, very well made, good long finish.

Preserved black berries on the nose, some cherries and red berries, delicate buttery notes, hint of roasted coffee, dried herbs, light metallic traces. Polished fruit on the palate, some dark chocolate and a hitn of coffee, dark caramel, very creamy with noticeable alcohol, medium-fine, slightly astringent tannins, good persistence, slightly jammy with spicy oak and chocolate on the finish, noticeable alcohol again.

Red berries, sweet jam and some boiled sweets character on the nose. Clean red berry fruit in the mouth, elegantly juicy, with refreshing acidity, quite mellow and rounded on the palate, powerful, good presence, youthful tannins, surprisingly persistent, long fruity finish. Give it some time to mature, will be a wonderful partner for food as well as a high-class quaffing wine. One of the most remarkable rosé wines I habe come across. May still improve a little.
