Geisenheim
The "Geisenheim Research Institute" in the city in Geisenheim Rheingau in the state of Hesse was established in 1872 by German banker Baron Eduard von Charge (1817-1904) and then founded the "Royal Prussian College for orchards and vineyards." Today, by the Geisenheim Research application and basic research in the areas of viticulture, horticulture, enology and beverage research. From the Research Institute Geisenheim, a commercial winery is run. The vineyards cover 20 hectares of vineyards in the Rheingau Individual layers Fuchsberg, Kitzberg, Kläuserweg , Low walls and Rothenberg (Geisenheim), as well as path and Magdalene Church Cross (Rüdesheim).
