DOC for red, rosé and white wines in the Italian region of Liguria . The zone covers the hills around Genoa, including a partial area of ​​the city itself, and another 35 municipalities in the province of Genoa. The varietal types Bianchetta Genovese, Ciliegiolo, Moscato (also known as raisin) and Vermentino must contain at least 85% of each variety, the remaining 15% may be varieties of the same color. The Bianco is blended from Vermentino and Bianchetta Genovese (20-70% each) and possibly other permitted white varieties (up to 40%). Rosso and Rosato are produced from Ciliegiolo and Dolcetto (each 20-70%) and possibly other permitted red varieties (40%). Furthermore, there is a white sweet raisin made from dried grapes of approved varieties of white and a white sparkling wine (varieties like the Bianco). Some of the wines there is also a sparkling wine.
