DOC area for sweet dessert white wine in the Italian region Calabria . The zone includes the eponymous seaside town of Bianco and part of the municipality in the province of Reggio Calabria Casignana at the very toe of the boot. The honey to amber wine is made from semi-dried grapes of Greco Bianco rosinierten (95-100%) and possibly other permitted white varieties (up to 5%) and has an aromatic bouquet of herbs and citrus fruits. The alcohol content is 17 vol%, the mandatory age of one year. The wine is also in Bocksbeutel filled. The IGT wine Mantonico di Bianco is similar.
