The winery "George Mumelter - Griesbauerhof" located in the town of Bolzano in the Italian wine sector Rentsch South Tyrol (Area Trentino-Alto Adige ). The family farm has been since 1785 in the family. After the First World War until the 1970s, only Saint Magdalene was produced, which was sold exclusively as open wine in Switzerland. Since 2000, only bottled in 0.7 liter bottles. The vineyards are situated at 300 meters above sea level and includes 3.5 acres that are planted with Lagrein, Pinot Grigio, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Since 2005, a vineyard in Gries Moritzing at 0.3 acres of Lagrein in rent. Finally in 2008 the winery, "Spitz" bought at the confluence of Eisack and Adige, where Merlot is grown. The storage or expansion takes place in large wooden barrels and then in barriques. The wines are exported to Germany, Switzerland and the United States. The winery is a member of Tirolensis Ars Vini and the liberal wine growers in South Tyrol.

Preserved red berries and some blueberries on the nose, delicate hint of almonds, light earthy traces. Ripe, spicy fruit on the palate, fine tannins, fairly creamy, more almonds, medium body, fairly persistent, harmonious, light earthy notes and a hint of cocoa, delicate oak on a good finish.

Partly candied red berries on the nose, herbaceous and light mineral notes, delicate floral traces. Cool red berry fruit on the palate, light vegetal notes and some old oak, light mineral notes, slightly sweetish and creamy, good persistence, quite lively, good finish.

Preserved black berries and sour cherries on the nose, light animal and smoky notes, light herbaceous notes and a hint of cereals. Full-bodied, fairly cool fruit on the palate, prominent spicy oak, some cereals, slightly sandy and slightly astringent tannins, noticeable alcohol, still youthful, slightly persistent, good tart finish.

Firm and juicy on the palate, oak dominates, light animal notes, compact structure, youthful, elegant acidity, fairly prominent and relatively fine tannins, slightly sandy and astringent, good persistence and has some depth, more animal notes and prominent oak on the finish.

Clear nose, preserved red berries and cherries, some dried herbs and flowers. Very slightly creamy fruit on the palate, some more dried herbs, nutty notes, hazelnuts and almonds, fine, very slightly astringent oak tannins, not particularly deep, but pleasant to drink, attractive finish.

Aromas of preserved red berries on the nose, cherries and plums as well as some light notes of dried flowers. Fruity and slightly creamy on the palate, very fine tannins, spicy, nutty notes, quite persistent, not particularly deep, but very well made, very light touch of oak, attractive finish.

Reductive nose with light animal notes, red and black berries. Still restless and slightly sharp on the palate, nevertheless has good fruit and integrated acidity, moderate, slightly dusty tannins, not a lot of substance or depth,light bitter note, attractive finish.

More cherry fruit in the mouth, prominent spicy oak with vanilla, tart notes, lots of very dry tannins, little real depth, fairly creamy on the palate, noticeable alcohol, acceptable finish with quite dry roasted notes and vanilla. Becomes slightly more harmonious with aeration.

Cherries with notes of black berries on the nose, lots of oak, with smoky and roasted notes. Fleshy in the mouth, again ample roasted oak, chocolate, sandy dry tannins, fruit in the background, lacks a little depth and substance relative to the prominent oak, but still shows some character and origin, vegetal and mineral nuances, roasted notes, coffee and dark chocolate on the finish.
