Bichler Hans
The estate is located in the municipality in Burgenland wine region Purbach Hill Country Lake Neusiedl (Austria). It is since 1986 in the possession of the business lawyer Dr. Hans Bichler. The vineyard area totals 3.6 hectares of vineyards in the south-eastern slopes of the Leitha Mountains. You must be 70% with the white wine varieties Pinot Gris and Chardonnay, as well as 30% with the red varieties Pinot Noir and Blaufränkisch planted. Quality criteria are precise canopy management, yield restriction, fully ripened grapes and careful processing of the grapes. The wines are from the friendly winery Leberl Joseph (community Großhöflein) vinified. The red wines go through a Spontaneous fermentation and matured 15 months in barriques, and then another six months in the bottle. The white wines are fermented in oak barrels and bottled in the rule for a malolactic fermentation and maturation period from an average of 18 months in bottles, where they mature another six months. Only the Pinot Gris is a temperature-controlled fermentation and subsequent storage in steel tanks. Every year around 10,000 bottles of wine are produced.
