Johanninger
The estate is located in the municipality Biebelsheim (Bingen area) in the German wine-growing area of Rheinhessen . It was created in 1995 by the merger of three family wineries. The name comes from the three founders of the three companies: John Fischborn (Shuf Ried), Johannes (Hans) and Jens Haas (North German for John) Heinemeyer. Johanninger is a registered trademark. The owners are the families Haas, Heinemeyer and Shuf Ried, which also lead to different areas of the winery. The vineyards cover 23 hectares of vineyards in three growing areas. In the region Rheingau is in the individual layers Bodental-Steinberg (Lorch) and Höllenberg ( Assmannshausen cultured) Pinot Noir exclusively on red phyllite slate.
