The cooperative winery in the Italian wine sector South Tyrol (Area Trentino-Alto Adige ) Is in 2010 by the merger of the "wine cellar Merano" (location Meran, founded in 1952) and "Burggräfler winery" (location Marling created in 1984 by a merger in 1901 created "Marling winery" and in 1909 founded "Algunder winery") created . The wine production is done on medium to long term cooperative based in Marling, this production site will be expanded. At Meran municipality remained a detailed point of sale received. As a winemaker Stefan Kapfinger in Merano and Hansjörg Donà responsible Marling.

The vineyards of over 200 members of the "Merano" comprise 145 hectares, the vineyards of over 200 members of the "BURGGRÄFLER" also 145 hectares of vineyards. There are the white varieties Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Gewurztraminer and Goldmuskateller, and the red varieties Vernatsch, Lagrein, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot processed. It is a nature-oriented management. Depending on the type of wine, the wine in steel tanks, large wooden barrel or barrels will be removed. It will be the DOC designations Burggräfler , Merano hill , South Tyrol and Vinschgau used.

Red berries on the nose, nutty traces, very delicate spicy oak. Clear, elegant, juicy, red berry fruit on the palate, delicate oak, earthy and nutty notes, mature, fine, sandy tannins, some mineral notes in the background, fairly persistent, still has good contours, good to very good finish.
2009-08-17 (86): Red berries on the nose, some almonds, spicy vegetal notes, light earthy notes. Clear, tranquil fruit on the palate, very elegant acidity, mature tannins, more prominent earthy and light mineral notes, quite persistent, very slightly sweetish spice, fairly creamy, quite persistent, opens up and becomes more juicy with aeration, good finish.

Citrus and some pomaceous fruit on the nose, very light nutty and vegetal notes. Clear, fairly juicy, elegantly spicy fruit on the palate, nutty notes and a delicate hint of sugar candy, elegant acidity, still has a touch of carbon dioxide, fairly full-bodied and persistent, vegetal and mineral traces, polished on a good to very good finish.

Caramelized stone fruit on the nose, muscat, some cinnamon and orange blossom, light herbaceous notes. Supple, sweet caramnel on the palate, Mediterranean fruit in syrup, touch of tart herbs, muscat and rose water in the background, hint of elderberry, moderate acidity, creamy and quite viscous, but not cloying, the high sugar level is partly balanced by a very refreshing bitter note typical of the variety, has some depth, good long finish.
