The "Nals Margreid" is the Italian wine sector Nalles South Tyrol (Area Trentino-Alto Adige ). It was formed in 1985 by the merger of two well-established wineries Nalles (1932) and Margreid-Entiklar (1954). Over 140 winegrowers farming along the Wine Road approximately 150 hectares in 200 to 900 meters above sea level. The vineyard management is done in a careful hand on natural, Sustainability Manner. Pests and diseases are preferred Ecology expanded.

The extensive product range includes different wines of the DOC areas Kalterersee , Santa Maddalena and South Tyrol . The premium wines include: Pinot Bianco "Sirmian" Sauvignon "Mantele" Vernatsch "Galea" Pinot Nero "Mazzon" (40% in small oak barrels, 60% in large oak barrels), Lagrein Riserva "Baron Salvadori" (15 months in small oak barrels for 12 months in the bottle), Cabernet Sauvignon "Lafot" (15 months in small oak barrels for 6 months in the bottle), Cabernet Sauvignon Riserva "Baron Salvadori" (22 months in small oak barrels for 12 months in the bottle), "anterior" Merlot Riserva (22 months in small oak barrels for 12 months in the bottle) and Baroness Passito "Baron Salvadori" (100% Moscato Giallo, 12 months in steel tanks, 5 months in the bottle). Each year about 900,000 bottles of wine are produced, 30% are exported to Europe and USA. The winery is at the Association of South Tyrolean winery cooperatives.

Delicate floral notes on the nose, peppery traces, lychees and a hint of dried orange zests, vegetal, herbaceous and mineral traces. Concentrated, clear and full-bodied on the palate, creamy ripe fruit, elegant tart spice, some dried orange zest and a hint of tobacco, very elegant acidity, full-bodied and has substance, very good persistence and has some depth, some cool notes too, still youthful, very good finish.

2009-10-09 (89): Fairly cool nose, partly dried citrus fruit, lychees and some pomaceous fruit, prominent mineral notes, tart spice, dried herbs and flowers. Full-bodied and juicy on the palate, quite spicy, ripe fruit, very creamy and quite complex, very elegant acidity, good depth, elegant bite, well integrated alcohol, mineral backbone, juicy, refreshing and spicy on a very good finish.

Clear, fairly mature nose, tart yellow fruit, herbaceous and mineral notes, touch of elderberry flowers and a hint of bell peppers, black berries. Clean, ripe, elegant and juicy fruit on the palate, tart herbs and spices, hint of bell peppers, fennelseeds, elderberry florwers and berries, full-bodied and creamy, touch of caramel and sugar candy, hint of tobacco, light mineral notes, persistent, noticeable alcohol on a very good finish. Still in excellent condition.

2008-07-15 (87): Blackcurrants on the nose, bell peppers and elderberries, herbaceous and mineral notes. Firm on the palate, straightforward and fairly complex, vegetal and light mineral notes, green apples, herbs, stinging nettles, bell peppers and some elderberry flowers, integrated acidity, very good finish.

2008-08-18 (86): Preserved red fruit and a hint of rum punch on the nose, overripe fruit, delicate herbaceous notes, hint of bread and roasted notes. Prominent but fairly well integrated oak on the palate, coffee, roasted notes, some vegetal notes and a hint of bell peppers, light-bodied, but quite persistent cassis and cranberry fruit, some more fruit marinated in rum, very light malted notes and some dark chocolate, light herbaceous notes, integrated tannins, already shows signs of maturation, but also still slightly closed, delicate bitter notes and slightly noticeable alcohol on a long finish. Red berreis on the nose, light burnt notes, earthy with some vegetal notes, bitter herbaceous notes. Soft, slightly sweetish preserved red berry fruit on the palate, slightly bitter, delicate herbaceous and earthy notes, some undergrowth, very gentle tannins, polished and quite approachable, has some substance, attractive character shows its origins, good finish.

Delicate nose, apples and pears. Quite light-bodied with crisp acidity, alcohol quite well integrated, juicy and refreshing with polished moderate apple fruit on the palate, hint of nectarines, slightly rough and bitter on an otehrwise attractive finish.

Very delicate nose, slightly smoky apple fruit, light vegetal traces. Moderate, fairly soft apple fruit on the palate, notes of crisp nectarines, very light herbaceous notes, quite crisp with fairly prominent acidity, good varietal character, well made, attractive finish.

Apples and some melon on the nose, spicy, yeasty notes and herbaceous notes, burnt character. Smoky again on the palate, spicy yeast, appears lighter than it is, soft, slightly diffuse apple fruit, some melon, integrated acidity, has some substance, attractive finish.

Slightly jammy, partly dried red berries and plums on the nose, prominent mineral notes, almonds, floral nuances. Loads of ripe berry fruit on the palate, too, light roasted oaky notes, quite full-bodied, some smoke and dark chocolate, floral and herbaceous notes, more noticeable mineral notes, slightly astringent rough tannins, some oak on a fairly good finish.

Clean, slightly nutty nose, honeydew melon and some apple. Juicy in the mouth, fairly creamy, elegant acid bite, nutty notes, good presence on the palate, mineral notes in the background, very harmonious, good finish.

Spicy oak and roasted notes on the nose, partly dried prunes, cherries and black berries. Prominent spicy oak with sweetish roasted notes on the palate, too, quite juicy fruit, astringent tannins, a hint of grilled peppers on the palate, good persistence, creamy and full-bodied, roasted notes, chocolate and coconut on a good finish.

Buttery nutty nose, canilla and delicate coconut spice. Rounded and harmonious, soft, sweetish, creamy yellow fruit supported by the oak, medium body, light nutty nuances and prominent spicy oak, gentle, integrated acidity, attractive finish. Oak determines the character, but well made.

Delciate, creamy nose with honey and roesewood, floral notes and light vegetal notes. Balanced on the palate with delicate juiy fruit, creamy, quite substantial, polished yellow fruit, elegant with notes of melon, delicate rosewood and some wilted vegetal aromas, typical of the variety, appropriate moderate sweetness, good finish.
