DOC for dry red wines in the Italian region Umbria . The zone includes the entire community as well as parts of the Bashi community Orvieto (with the hamlet Corbara with the same name, the eponymous Tiber Dam) in the province of Terni. The Rosso is in any blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir and Sangiovese (70-100%), and in any mixture of Aleatico, Barbera, Cabernet Franc, Canaiolo, Cesanese, Ciliegiolo, Canaiolo, Dolcetto and Montepulciano (up to 30% ) blended. The varietal types of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Pinot Nero must be produced from at least 85% of each variety, the remaining 15% may possibly be permitted red varieties.
