The Austrian wine region is one of four of the federal state of Burgenland , and covers 7649 hectares. It is named after the 320 km ² and 36 km long basin. The Blend is based on the annual survey conducted in 2009 Weingarten. Compared to the last survey in 1999, the proportion of red wines has risen from 25% to 50%.
